On May 26th, GIANTS VI: THE FINALE will feature one of Vancouver’s most charming improv duos. Christine Bortolin and Bita Joudaki are Sister Act. There have been some tensions in the group of late, manly caused by Joudaki’s proclivity for running off with sport-related mascots, but they’re staying together for the kids.
Hip.Bang! are an improv duo from the 1940′s. They are now very very old but as funny as ever.
Made up of Tom “Donnie” Hill and Devin “Rollie” Mackenzie, Hip.Bang! has delighted audiences across North America for close to 70 years. From their days as Victoria’s ‘Pick of the Fringe’ in 1948 to their legendary New York City boxcar performances of the early ’50s, this charming improv always brings their trademark blend of honest storytelling, raw comedic spirit and extremely wrinkled faces.
