Hot off the heels of two special shows in 2011, GIANTS Comedy is proud to announce GIANTS III: feat. Self Quest by Ryan Beil. The show features special guests like Fancy Pants, the very special Ryan Steele and Amy Goodmurphy, the extra-special Adam Pateman, and the super-special Charlie Demers.
Plus: an ultra-special remount of “Self Quest,” a play penned by actor, funny man and all around special guy Ryan Beil (when he was just 16 years old…seriously). January 14th is the special day. The Cultch is the special place. It’s going to be special.
Already heard enough? Grab your tickets while you can. Still re-living the magic of the last show? Re-watch our videos (link), produced by Weekend Leisure. Want to learn more about GIANTS III? Read on.
Maybe you know Ryan Beil as one charming sixth of The Sunday Service? Or maybe you know him as the golden boy of the Vancouver theatre world? Perhaps you’ve even seen him on the old television screen? However you’ve made his acquaintance, it’s pretty safe to say you’ve thought long and hard about what he was like in high school. Haven’t we all? Now, in this one-night-only remount of “Self Quest,” the world will finally get to see Beil in his teenage prime.
The play, which Beil wrote in the deepest throes of his drama nerd adolescence, is a hormone-driven and humour-heavy tale of one young man’s self-discovery. That man is Ryan Beil. Now, after many years in Vancouver’s equivalent of the Disney Vault, “Self Quest” is getting the remount it deserves. Featuring an all-adult cast and staring Beil himself, this GIANTS III centerpiece is a bold exploration of life, love, youth and one actor’s self-described “massive and confusing ego.”
In addition to Beil’s “Self Quest” and the aforementioned guests, GIANTS III features brand new editions of “News Around Now” with Emmett Hall and “Delicious Things” with Nik Bunting! Stay glued to GIANTScomedy.com in the coming weeks for Weekend Leisure videos featuring all of our GIANTS III guests, articles about the show and more tasty updates.
